Excavate and Exfoliate™ for the 2008/2009 Winter Season With Dig This™ and the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel

Unearth inner elegance with the help of heavy equipment and serenity spa treatment

STEAMBOAT SPRINGSCO (November 10, 2008) – Dig This, the nation’s first-and-only adult recreational heavy equipment dirt moving arena, along with the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel & Condominiums announced today their new adventure, lodging and spa package, “Excavate and Exfoliate.” Exclusive to Dig This, the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel and Grand Spa, Excavate and Exfoliate combines exhilaration, luxury, and impeccable service to rejuvenate the senses.
Excavate and Exfoliate offers the ultimate alternative to the predictable girls’ getaway,” said Ed Mumm, Dig This owner and founder. “Blending the benefits of a soothing facial with the thrill of commanding full-size heavy equipment certainly brings new meaning to therapeutic treatment. We’re proud to partner with the Steamboat Grand to unveil this one- of-a-kind experience.” The package includes a minimum half-day session at Dig This, two-night stay at the Steamboat Grand Resort Hotel, a 50-minute European facial at the Grand Spa, and daily breakfast at The Cabin Restaurant for as low as $340.05* per person per day.

Additional Dig This sessions, room nights, room upgrades, and Grand Spa treatments may be added to the above with custom and group packages also available.
Since its opening in November 2007, Dig This has welcomed a predominately-female client base. Participants operate brand new full-size Caterpillar hydraulic excavators and track-type bulldozers at individual work sites to construct roads, build dams, design bridge abutments, and dig trenches.
“We’re committed to providing our guests with memorable experiences, along with the highest level of service,” said Michael Lomas, general manager and vice president for the Steamboat Grand. “Excavate and Exfoliate offers an innovative program to do just that. The brawn of an 18-ton excavator coupled with the serenity of a spa treatment is sure to invigorate on a number of levels.”
Dig This’ inspiration came to New Zealander Ed Mumm, while he was operating heavy equipment to construct his home in Steamboat SpringsCO. After finding fun while clearing trees and scrub oak, constructing a road, building a pond, and digging foundations he realized the potential for a business opportunity and the concept for Dig This was formed.  To get all of the dirt and book Excavate and Exfoliate visit: www.digthis.info, call 1.888.DIG.THIS (1.888.344.8447) or 970.367.4402.
